A kakkai is a boundary or barrier—often considered spiritual, magical, or
mystical that separates a designated space from the outside environment. It is usually established by ritual, symbolic gestures, or specific techniques to protect a location or person from unwanted influences, intrusions, or negative energies. In many traditions, it serves as a protective field that delineates a sacred or safe zone.
