moving image, installation, and research-based practices.
YEERI WANG is a Chinese trans woman artist working across moving image, installation, and research-based practices. Grounded in lived experience and community archives, her work traces trans embodiment, fatigue, and survival within Chinese and East Asian contexts, where bodies are shaped, regulated, and continually negotiated.
For Wang, trans existence is not a narrative of arrival or cure, but a condition of ongoing becoming. Through vulnerability, failure, and accompaniment, her practice insists on collective witnessing—staying with what cannot be resolved, and imagining survival as something carried together.
